Braised pork

If you love pork as much as we do, then you must have a go at this dish. Not only is it easy to cook, you will only need a couple of ingredients to make this work. Choose pork belly as your choice of meat, grab some shallots, ginger, and seasoning including soy sauce, cooking wine, and rock sugar, and you are on your way to presenting a flavourful and irresistible meat dish.

3. Sweet Corn and Chicken Soup

Soup

Compared to cream-based soups, which are high in fat and calories, broth-based ones are lower in energy density, translating to fewer calories per gram. Contrary to common beliefs, sweet corn is not as fattening and sugary as you think. An ear of corn has the same number of calories as an apple  but lesser sugar content. Furthermore, cooked corn increases antioxidant activity that helps protect our body. Couple that with chicken breast meat and you will get a nutritious soup with lots of protein!

4. Longan Red Date & Wolfberry Tea

Tea

If there is any tea that is full of health benefits and helps wash down a heavy meal, it is the Longan Red Date and Wolfberry Tea. Longan fruit is rich in vitamin C and gives a relaxing effect, lowering irritability and reducing fatigue; wolfberry helps control diabetes and lower your cholesterol level. Combine both and you will feel rejuvenated after a hearty meal. Alternatively, check out these five no-bake desserts to finish off your meal.
